It can happen that you will need to visit a different specialist first and that your treatment is temporarily postponed. We will also take scans, foto’s and X-rays. if this data is process in to a digital project plan this will be shared with you. Hereby you will receive al the information, expected treatment duration, the costs, possible risks and general terms and conditions. The progress and success of the treatment depends on multiple factors such as the development of the jaw, the motivation and cooperation of the patient, and the reaction of the teeth to the braces. Final pictures; x-rays and a 3D scan, are taken to see if you\u2019re happy with the final results.<\/p>\n

Retention period<\/strong>
\nAs soon as the desired results are achieved and the active treatment is completed, the braces will be removed, and the teeth are polished. As their position is not yet fixed, retainers are fitted to prevent your teeth from moving. Together we will discuss the best choice of retainers for long-lasting results.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1537275655866{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Night retainers for the upper and lower jaw is the most common option, however a splint, or a combination of the two, is also possible. When worn properly – and grinding and clenching are avoided – night retainers on average last 3 to 5 years. Normally we provide you with 3 sets so you have a spare set if one is lost or damaged.<\/p>\n
