Bruxism treatment

Custom-made night guards that protect your teeth against grinding and clenching, and help you sleep more soundly.

What is bruxism?

What is bruxism?

Teeth grinding and clenching of the jaw, also known as bruxism, are common conditions that are often underestimated. While it usually occurs during sleep, it can also happen during the day (awake bruxism). Stress, heredity, sleep disorders and even smoking, alcohol or drugs can contribute.

Who is it for?

Who is it for?

A night guard is suitable for anyone with bruxism complaints, think of headaches, tooth sensitivity, wear facets, chipping enamel, a sharp or wide jawline, insomnia or shifting teeth. It's a simple, non-invasive treatment with significant impact.

The journey

Step by step

  1. Step 1

    Intake

We discuss your complaints and examine the position of your teeth and jaws, plus the wear pattern of your teeth. We often supplement this with scans and photos.

  2. Step 2

    Fitting the guard

Based on your teeth a custom night guard is made, a thin, transparent tray worn during sleep.

  3. Step 3

    Fit and instructions

On placement we check the fit and explain wearing, cleaning and storage. The guard should never hurt or feel too tight.

  4. Step 4

    Check-ups

Periodic check-ups to assess fit and wear pattern, so we can intervene early if anything changes.
